Thanks to support of Kiwanians and friends, the Kiwanis Southwest District Foundation is pleased to award scholarships to help our best and brightest explore education and training for the next step of their young lives.
We are proud to offer four scholarships, not all limited to Key Club members and those pursuing bachelor's degrees. Scholarships are funded by your donations to the Southwest District Foundation. Applications can be found under Foundation Programs on this website, and are typically due in early March.
Congratulations to Sumi Shrestha from Rio Rancho High School. Sumi is the 2021 recipient of the Dean Bartoo Memorial Scholarship.
The Dean Bartoo Memorial Scholarship ($1000) is awarded to an outstanding Key Club member. Sumi was the 2020-2021 Sandia Division Distinguished Lt. Governor.
Congratulations to Maya Working from Buena High School (Sierra Vista, AZ). Maya is the 2021 recipient of the Bob Kay Memorial Scholarship.
Bob Kay Memorial Scholarship ($1000) is awarded to a candidate demonstrating extraordinary leadership and service to community.
Congratulations to Stephanie Amaya from Douglas High School. Stephanie is the 2021 recipient of the Joan Skinner Memorial Technical/Trade School Scholarship.
This ($1000) scholarship is awarded to a student practical practical training in a specialized field.
Congratulations to Kaitlyn Sutliff from Buena High School (Sierra Vista, AZ). Kaitlyn is a 2021 recipient of the Vocational Scholarship.
This $500 scholarship is for pursuing practical training in a specialized field requiring an associate degree, not a bachelor’s degree.
